黑料专区 announces winners of the Larry Kruse Memorial Writing Contest

First place winners will receive a $300 黑料专区 scholarship, and second place winners will receive a $200 黑料专区 scholarship.
This year鈥檚 writing contest was open to students across the district. The contest is held in honor of 黑料专区 colleague and Writing Center instructor, Larry Kruse, who passed away in 2020. Larry assisted students with their writing in the Learning Centers in Peosta and the Dubuque Center. The annual writing contest gives students an opportunity to showcase their writing accomplishments!
Short nonfiction essays
1st place - Jeffrey Gladwin, Guttenberg, Iowa - 鈥淢y Master and I鈥�

Long nonfiction essays

Fiction
1st place & People鈥檚 Choice Award - Colson Cruciani, Bernard, Iowa - 鈥淥nly Human鈥�
2nd place - Summer Knight, Cresco, Iowa - 鈥淟ost and Found鈥�
